Multipave has strengthened its regional highways portfolio after securing places on major frameworks with both Blackpool Council and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
The company has been appointed to Lot 1: Highways Surfacing on Blackpool Council’s new four-year highways framework, a contract advertised at £200 million.
Multipave will support the maintenance, improvement and rehabilitation of the town’s highway network, delivering resurfacing and reconstruction works alongside a range of associated highways activities.
In Blackburn with Darwen, Multipave has secured places on both Lot 1: Surfacing (£20 million) and Lot 2: Civils (£20 million). The framework begins on 1 October 2026, with an initial two-year term and options to extend through to September 2030.
The appointments highlight Multipave’s growing presence across Lancashire and its continued commitment to delivering quality highways works while supporting resilient local supply chains.
John Ralphs, Managing Director at Multipave, said:
“These appointments are a fantastic opportunity for Multipave to build on our growing regional presence and continue delivering high-quality highways work across Lancashire.
“Securing places across both surfacing and civils also reflects the breadth of our capabilities and our commitment to supporting local authorities and supply chains across the North West.”
