Strictly Highways 2027: Bookings now open for our 10th year

We’re pleased to announce that bookings are now open for Strictly Highways 2027, as we prepare to celebrate the 10th year of our flagship annual event.

We’ll be returning to the Winter Gardens in Blackpool from 28-30 September 2027, bringing together local authorities, the Department for Transport (DfT) and the wider highways community for three days of networking, knowledge sharing, innovation and our DfT Special Recognition Awards.

Over the past decade, Strictly Highways has continued to provide an important platform for us to bring the sector together, share experiences, showcase innovation and explore the challenges and opportunities facing local highways. As we look ahead to our 10th year, we’re excited to build on this success and make Strictly Highways 2027 another memorable event for the highways community.

Reflecting on Strictly Highways 2026

Our 2026 conference programme was shaped by an outstanding response to our call for speakers, which attracted 110 submissions representing almost 36 hours of potential content.

The resulting programme featured presentations, panel discussions and practical case studies from across the public and private sectors, covering some of the biggest priorities facing local highways, including maintenance and funding, network resilience, decarbonisation, digital technology, skills and collaboration.

We welcomed contributions from across the sector, including updates from the DfT, innovative approaches being delivered across the country and discussions around how we can work together to improve local highway networks.

Alongside our conference programme, the exhibition gave delegates the opportunity to meet suppliers, discover new products and services, and build valuable connections across the highways community.

We also welcomed the return of our DfT Special Recognition Awards, celebrating the individuals, teams and organisations making a positive difference across the sector.

We’d like to thank everyone who helped make Strictly Highways 2026 such a success, including our delegates, speakers, panellists, exhibitors, partners and sponsors: A E Yates, Siemens, M Group and Telent.

Looking ahead to Strictly Highways 2027

Following the success of this year’s event, we’re already preparing for Strictly Highways 2027 and look forward to welcoming the highways community back to Blackpool.

We have opportunities available for organisations looking to get involved as exhibitors and sponsors, providing a platform to showcase their solutions, connect with local authorities and engage with the people helping shape the future of local highways.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), we reinvest revenue generated through sponsorship and exhibition bookings into providing fully funded places for local authority delegates. This helps us bring the public and private sectors together, encourage collaboration and ensure local authorities can access valuable knowledge, ideas and innovation.

Charlotte Bromley, our Head of Events, said:

“Strictly Highways is always a highlight of our LCRIG calendar, and it was fantastic to welcome so many people from across the highways community to Blackpool once again. The quality of the speakers and the conversations taking place throughout the event really demonstrated the value of coming together to share knowledge and ideas.

“We’re delighted to have already received exhibitor rebookings and sponsorship enquiries for 2027, which is a really encouraging response so soon after this year’s event. We’re looking forward to building on the success of 2026 and welcoming everyone back to Blackpool next September.”
