Following our recent announcement of being named as finalists for the Partnership Award at the Highways Awards 2024, we are now even more excited to see the full list of finalists and find ourselves in such esteemed company.
We are particularly honoured that our pioneering collaboration with Salford City College, Salford City Council, and industry partners has been recognised with a nomination for the Highway Partnership Award, sponsored by WJ Group. Collaboration is central to everything we do, and this award celebrates organisations or highway authorities that have demonstrated a collaborative approach designed to benefit society or their local community.
We are immensely proud to support the Highways Maintenance Academy and facilitate the entry of apprentices into the sector. To be shortlisted for an award reflecting the work we are doing in partnership with Salford City College, Salford City Council, and industry partners, is a testament to the incredible collaborative effort from everyone involved. Since its creation in 2023, the Academy has created 30 apprenticeship opportunities in Salford and other areas of Northwest. We remain committed to addressing the skills crisis in our sector and are excited about the future of this innovative partnership.

Reflecting on our Journey
