Gaist Launch CPD-accredited Sessions

LCRIG Associate Member, Gaist launched a series of free, online one-hour sessions for 2024 on Friday 12/01/2024. New for 2024, the IHE-accredited inaugural session focused on lifecycle modelling for highways, presented by their Head of Professional Services, Christina Liassides, and are freely available to both existing clients and those who have never used Gaist services before.

The session focused on how, using condition data and other inputs, lifecycle modelling can provide multi-option analysis for strategic maintenance decisions, allowing highways managers to understand how decisions made today will impact the network in the longer term.

This level of analysis can provide a reliable headline figure and is a planning and budgeting tool for strategic decision making, allowing the user to confidently make decisions on their maintenance strategy and maximise use of their budgets.

Gaist Head of Professional Services Christina Liassides said, ‘It was great to see so many local authorities attending the session and interacting with the content, asking challenging questions on how lifecycle modelling might be applied to their local network. I look forward to rolling this session out further, to new and existing authorities alongside our upcoming sessions on GIS and Scheme Identification- please get in touch if this would be of interest!’.

There are plans underway to launch an additional session on Lifecycle Modelling for those that couldn’t attend, alongside future sessions on GIS for Highways and Scheme Identification, look out for updates via LCRIG news and the Gaist website.

If you would like to register interest for future sessions email jake.lawson@gaist.co.uk.
