We are thrilled to unveil the shortlist for the prestigious DfT Special Recognition Awards 2025, honouring exceptional individuals and organisations that have gone the extra mile to deliver change in the highways and road infrastructure technology sector.
This year, we received a record-breaking number of entries, reflecting the sector’s outstanding innovation, commitment, and drive to deliver positive change.
The winners will be revealed at a glittering awards ceremony during Strictly Highways on the evening of 01 October at the iconic Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
Now in their sixth year, the DfT Special Recognition Awards were established by the late Steve Berry OBE, the Department for Transport’s former Head of Highways Maintenance, Innovation and Resilience. These awards stand as a testament to Steve’s legacy, continuing to inspire excellence and progress within the sector.
Charlotte Bromley, Head of Events at LCRIG, shared her enthusiasm:
“The response this year has been incredible, with more entries than ever before. We are extremely grateful to our judges who have taken the time to review them all, and to everyone who submitted. These awards, established by the late Steve Berry OBE, continue to showcase the innovation and dedication within our sector, and it’s fantastic to see them growing year on year.”
