The Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA), a shared service between East Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council has partnered with TrueViewVisuals, the creators of RoadsOnline, to design and implement a bespoke TTRO module tailored to the needs of local authority road departments, as part of its ongoing digital transformation strategy.
As part of its ongoing digital transformation strategy, ARA aimed to modernise key operational processes to enhance efficiency, transparency, and service quality.
ARA identified a need for a digital solution that could automate and streamline the full TTRO lifecycle – reducing officer workload, improving transparency, and ensuring compliance.
ARA partnered with TrueViewVisuals to design and implement a bespoke TTRO module tailored to the needs of local authority road departments.
The project was supported by East Ayrshire Council’s Digital Innovation Fund and aligned with the Alliance’s 2024–2025 service improvement plan.
TrueViewVisuals worked closely with ARA to ensure the platform reflected real-world operational requirements and integrated seamlessly into existing workflows.
The RoadsOnline TTRO module is a cloud-hosted, end-to-end system that digitises all aspects of TTRO management, from online application submission to final approval and communication.

Alan Wilson, General Manager at Glenmavis Traffic Management, added:
“The new online temporary traffic restriction order system is now fantastic to use, with all the changes that have been made. This really helps to facilitate the input of information more easily. It’s definitely simplified the whole process.”
