This week, we are thrilled to welcome Safer Roads Humber, as the latest organisation to join our ever-growing LCRIG Community. As our 34th Partner Member, they join a valued group of organisations including government bodies, professional associations, research groups and other not-for-profit partners.
Safer Roads Humber is the regional road safety partnership for Humberside. Following a long history of collaboration between police and local authorities, Safer Roads Humber was founded in 2007 and is a non-statutory group of agencies involved in road safety, combining expertise from different organisations to reduce road casualties in the Humber area.
Ian Robertson, Partnership Manager at Safer Roads Humber, expressed his aspirations for the collaboration:
“The Safer Roads Humber Partnership comprises of the four local councils in our area, Humberside Police, Humberside Fire and Rescue, and National Highways. Our aim is to reduce casualties across the Humber area by education, engagement, and enforcement where necessary.”
“We have joined LCRIG to work with many other partners in road safety, especially those focussing on Vision Zero and the Safe System. We look forward to new technologies, new perspectives and a shared vision of safer roads.”
We’re proud to have Safer Roads Humber on board and look forward to supporting their work in making roads safer for all.
