LCRIG and Salford City College hosted an official launch event for the Highways Maintenance Academy.

The event took place on Friday 22nd March at City Skills Salford and celebrated the opening of the new Academy, which has been created through a pioneering partnership between Salford City College and LCRIG, and was an opportunity to meet the apprentices and some of the key partners involved.
The Highways Maintenance Academy not only sets a new standard for education-industry partnership but also aims to address the critical skills shortage in the highways sector, providing promising opportunities and developing a new generation of talented operatives.
Attendees at the launch event had the chance to:

- View the Highways Maintenance Academy facilities which were developed through collaboration with industry.

- See live demonstrations showcasing latest techniques and innovations in highways maintenance.
- Network with like-minded industry peers.
- Find out how they can become involved in the next cohort of apprentices.
