We are delighted to share that Susanne Ingham, Relationship Director at LCRIG, has been recognised with an Appreciation Award at Strictly Highways 2025 for her outstanding commitment to collaboration within the highways sector and for being an all-round amazing person.
This accolade follows Susanne’s recent success at the Highways Awards, where she received the prestigious Michael Conway MBE Community Leaders award. Her nomination was supported by key figures from across the sector in a special and moving tribute video that celebrated her achievements, which you can watch here.
In front of more than 500 attendees at the DfT Special Recognition Awards, Susanne was presented with her award by Will Britain, LCRIG’s Founder, who reflected on her incredible career and exceptional contributions, and how instrumental she has been to the success of LCRIG.
In true Susanne style, she had no idea she was about to receive the award, even after hearing her name called.
Reflecting on the surprise, Susanne said:
“I didn’t expect to receive an award during the DfT Special Recognition Awards. I heard my name and was called to the stage, so I thought the plan was to celebrate the award I received the week before, so I had a few words ready on Leadership and Michael Conway MBE. To then be recognised and celebrated for collaboration was truly humbling.
“I honestly love what I do, and I have always done it with Starlotty (and my dad) by my side and now with all the amazing LCRIG ladies in the team, but we couldn’t do what we do without all of you, so a massive thank you to everyone.”
Watched proudly by her father Colin and daughter Georgia, Susanne received a standing ovation from an audience of friends, colleagues and industry peers.
Event host, Paul Hutton shared comments from Kerry Winstanley, LCRIG’s Managing Director, who said:
“Susanne has always had the vision of bringing the highways community together, and thanks to her determination and non-stop energy, she hasn’t just connected people, she’s helped to move the sector forward in a really meaningful way. Susanne is an inspiration and our sector genuinely wouldn’t be the same without her.”
The awards marks a special milestone in Susanne’s remarkable career as she celebrates thirty years in the highways sector.
