We are delighted to confirm that LCRIG’s contract to support the Transport Technology Forum (TTF) has been renewed for a further three years.
LCRIG has delivered the TTF for the Department for Transport since the summer of 2021 and this contract renewal will see us continue to deliver the Forum until at least 2028.
Since taking on the contract, LCRIG has:
- Led engagement activities around the award and distribution of £65 million of central government funding to improve traffic signals.
- Conducted research into the Connected Vehicle Data Strategy and shared best practice in Local Authority responses to Active Travel.
- Published the Manual for Smart Streets and guidance for Local Authorities in delivering electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
- Developed standards for Digital Data for Traffic Signal Controllers in the DCIS project.
LCRIG’s fully funded model for local authorities has greatly expanded the TTF’s Conference and Autumn Updates events, allowing hundreds of officers to attend, learn and debate, making these events key dates in the industry’s diary.
Together with the TTF, we have delivered four Connected Vehicle Demonstrator events at UTAC in Bedfordshire, and they revitalised UK presence at ITS World and European Congresses in Los Angeles, Lisbon, Dubai and Seville, helping small and medium-sized enterprises to attend.
The TTF is also supporting the National Parking Platform and is delivering updated guidance for managing electronic roadside equipment and universal traffic management systems. It is also a leading contributor to delivering the Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress when it comes to Birmingham in 2027.
