This week, we are delighted to welcome three new Associate Members to our ever-expanding LCRIG community AIM Group, Citisense, and Octavius. With their addition, our Associate membership has grown to 187, contributing to 359 members overall.
AIM Group specialises in AI-driven predictive monitoring for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), helping to prevent closures of ageing infrastructure and extend their lifespans. Their innovative technology has been instrumental in supporting the Welsh Government and local councils. AIM’s advanced AI capabilities include:
- 99.3% accuracy (R² = 0.993) in predicting future structural behaviour
- Lifespan and degradation forecasting for infrastructure assets
- Early defect detection, reducing maintenance costs by up to 65%
- Identification of key factors driving structural behaviour

Citisense®, a People-first Transport Innovation Company enables local governments and support partners from scheme to street by integrating in-house expertise across policy, engagement, urban design, and pioneering real-time data monitoring solutions.

Octavius is a leading Civil Engineering Principal Contractor, with a 58-year history of successfully designing and delivering highway, structures and rail improvement schemes. The company operate across a wide range of sectors with both private and public clients.
Octavius is renowned for building strong client relationships through a collaborative ethos. The company has developed capabilities in diverse sectors by systematically understanding client needs, aligning their approach to achieve agreed objectives, and executing projects with a consistent ‘right first time’ approach in an open and transparent manner.

As a growing community of over 350 members consisting of government, local authorities, national organisations, supply chain, academia and associations, LCRIG is actively facilitating positive change and innovation in the highways sector.
