This week, the LCRIG team was delighted to welcome a special guest to the Blackburn office. Janet Atkins, Corporate Partnership Manager at Trinity Hospice, visited to receive a giant cheque for an impressive £2,113.70, after the hospice was chosen as the designated charity at Strictly Highways, held in Blackpool this October.

Trinity Hospice has provided excellence in specialist, compassionate care on the journey towards the end of life on the Fylde coast for almost 40 years, touching the lives of around 8,000 local people every year. Demand for its care keeps on growing and its services continue to evolve to meet changing expectations. It costs more than £9million to run all of Trinity’s services each year, which are provided completely free of charge to everyone who needs them. LCRIG has been a proud supporter of the charity for several years, and this latest donation will directly contribute to the hospice’s invaluable work.
Janet expressed her gratitude for the donation, saying: “We were thrilled to hear that LCRIG chose Trinity Hospice as their charity to support through their Strictly Highways conference earlier this year and the amount of money raised is enough to cover over 5 hours of specialist care in our In-Patient Unit. We are so thankful to LCRIG and to everyone who donated in the envelopes and online.”
