The Department for Transport is inviting submissions for this year’s Data Science in Transport Conference, which will take place on 16 September at Google’s UK headquarters in London.
The conference will bring together senior leaders, data scientists, engineers and innovators from across government and industry to explore the practical realities of scaling AI across the transport ecosystem.
The DfT is seeking contributions from local authorities, academia, industry, SMEs, consultancies, arm’s length bodies and government organisations. It is particularly interested in practical case studies, lessons learned, emerging research and real-world implementations demonstrating the impact of data science and AI in transport.
Submissions are invited across a range of topics, including:
- Decision Support & Network Optimisation
- Evaluation & Assurance
- Data & Delivery at Scale
Those wishing to present are asked to submit:
- Presentation title
- Name(s), organisation and role of presenter(s)
- A short abstract (up to 300 words) outlining the proposed presentation
- Relevant theme(s)
The deadline for submissions is Friday 14 August 2026.
