The Transport Technology Forum invited industry suppliers to a webinar outlining how the new Connected Vehicle Services (CVS) Framework will shape local highway authorities’ future services.
The CVS Framework gives the Department for Transport the opportunity to work with stakeholders from the public and private sectors to define the services it believes will be available to road users and operators in the coming years.
After a series of in-person meetings with local authorities late last year, this webinar invited industry to hear about, and engage with, the development of CVS and its emerging priorities, and discuss how existing or planned products or services align with DfT policies.
Specifically, the webinar helped the supply chain understand how Connected Vehicle Services will shape service requirements, gain early visibility of policy-backed direction and contribute to the development and evolution of the CVS Framework.
The webinar sought to hear views on the commercial feasibility and scalability of CVS services, market readiness and capability across different service types, barriers that could prevent delivery at scale and the most important enablers needed from government.
Objectives:
- Understand how Connected Vehicle Services will shape local highways authorities future service requirements
- Gain early visibility of policy-backed direction
- Contribute to the development and evolution of the CVS Framework
At the session we heard from suppliers on:
- The commercial feasibility and scalability of CVS services
