Wrekin Products has recently added to its utilities team after strengthening its position as the UK’s leading ironwork supplier to major water companies.
Led by Dave Sanders, Wrekin’s utilities team now includes business development managers Pete West and Ian Wardropper, contract and service delivery manager Molly Perrin, as well as technical specification manager Paul Thompson – all who provide different expertise, years of experience and existing relationships in the sector.
Having already supplied well over one million products to utilities companies, Wrekin now works with two-thirds of the major water companies in the UK. Maintaining multiple long-standing partnerships, such as Thames Water which has received more than 250,000 products from Wrekin, the Lichfield-based business recently formed relationships with Severn Trent Water, Anglian Water and United Utilities – meaning that around 70% of the UK’s water network now includes Wrekin’s ironwork.
Dave Sanders, head of utilities sales at Wrekin, said: “We’ve been active in the utilities sector for more than 20 years, but we’ve recently gone from strength to strength in the water market. We’re confident in our high levels of technical expertise and experience, with ongoing team growth only set to bolster our ability to support customers.
“As with all sectors we work in, our aim is to help save time and money, increase sustainability and enhance health and safety – which we do by listening to our customers and developing innovative bespoke solutions wherever needed. It’s an exciting time for the utilities team here, and we have our sights set on growth in the energy and telecoms markets next – with big announcements on the horizon.”
