As excitement builds for next month’s highly anticipated Innovation & Learning Festival, we’re proud to introduce the Maintenance Demonstration Partners who will be bringing their cutting-edge technologies, products and techniques to life on our off-road demonstration track.
These live demos provide you with an opportunity to see real innovation in action and engage directly with the people behind the products transforming highway maintenance across the UK.
We spoke with a few of our partners about what they will be showcasing, why they return each year, and what makes the festival an unmissable event for local authorities, suppliers, and industry professionals alike.
Live Maintenance Demonstrations:
Location: Demonstration Area 1
Date: Wednesday, 02 July
10:15AM – WJ Group
Showcasing: Instant Curing, Exceptional Performance and Enhanced Longevity. Come See the Future of the Road Marking Sector
Partner Insight – Martin Webb, Innovation Director at WJ Group:
“We’ve come to the innovation festival since its inception as we see it as a great opportunity to meet with our local authority partners and discuss our latest innovations with them. As a company we’re constantly trying to bring new ideas, products and services to market so having this chance to show what we’re doing and demonstrating it in person is fantastic for our business.
“By showcasing our products and services at the festival, it helps to get conversations started about getting them out on the network. A picture paints a thousand words so actually seeing the equipment and products in action is even better to be able to help people understand the benefits of our latest innovations.
“We’ll be demonstrating a new road marking product, which will be a first of its kind for highways applications. It delivers exceptional performance results, improves safety, reduces carbon and will be a real asset for local authorities in helping improve their network.”
11:30AM – JCB
Showcasing: Pothole Pro – A Unique 3 in 1 Solution
Partner Insight – Alan Wallace, UK Highways Manager at JCB:
“JCB is committed to innovation and providing solutions to the challenges faced by local governments in maintaining their infrastructure. JCB’s continued presence ensures that our company can stay abreast of the evolving needs of local authorities and demonstrate how JCB’s technologies can address those needs effectively. This festival highlights a mutually beneficial relationship where JCB gains valuable feedback and local authorities discover new tools to improve their operations.
“The direct engagement with local authorities and key decision makers allows JCB to build strong relationships and gain valuable insights into their specific needs. Demonstrating machines like the Pothole Pro in a live setting provides a powerful visual representation of the benefits, leading to increased interest and adoption. The feedback received from attendees helps JCB refine its products and tailor its services to better meet the evolving needs.
“Prepare to witness the Pothole Pro in action, showcasing its unparalleled efficiency in preparing road defects. Attendees will see firsthand how this machine can transform pothole repair operations, minimising disruption and maximising productivity. Smoother, faster and more cost-effective than ever before!”
2:00PM – Meon
Showcasing: Instant Curing Road Marking System
Partner Insight – Russell Smallridge, Sales Director at Meon:
“Attending the Innovation and Learning Festival is not just about showcasing what we do – it’s also about learning from our peers in the industry. The festival fosters an open environment for discussing and exploring new approaches, which is critical to driving collaboration across the sector. For us, it’s about staying engaged in conversations that lead to real innovations and new ways of working.
“A key pillar of Meon’s sales methodology is “seeing is believing.” Demonstrating our products in action is phase one of that approach, making live showcases at the festival a vital part of our strategy. It allows us to not only exhibit our solutions but also build trust and credibility within the industry.
“Meon’s innovation journey continues to accelerate, with significant advancements made over the past five years. At this year’s festival, we’ll unveil some of our latest cold-applied road repair technologies, with a particular focus on ironworks installation. Plus, we’re excited to present cutting-edge solutions never before seen in the UK—a true first for the industry.”
2:30PM – Multevo
Showcasing: UK First: In-situ Recycling Patch Repairs
Partner Insight – Aimee Dewse, Marketing Manager at Multevo:
“The festival provides a fantastic opportunity to reach a large audience of local highways authorities in one place. It’s a great platform for showcasing latest innovations without the heavy cost and resource associated with organising national demo roadshows. The LCRIG team are fantastic at organising these events and create a relaxed yet exciting atmosphere which I think helps a lot.
“At the first Innovation Festival back in 2022, we showcased the Hydrovo which ended up taking home the Innovation award for Fleet & Equipment. This opened new doors and led to several trials with local authorities. The opportunity to meet with potential local authority customers are few and far between, and the festival has given us the chance to have in-depth conversations that have helped form strong relationships.
“We’ll be demonstrating a UK first innovation. It is something we have been trialling on the UK network for some time, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone. It ticks many boxes for local highways authorities in terms of reducing carbon, maximising productivity and delivering high quality repairs.”
