LCRIG Welcomes New Members to Growing Community

This week, we are delighted to welcome Hydro International and HW Martin to our ever growing LCRIG Community. 

Hydro International is a global company who provide advanced products, services and expertise to help municipal, commercial and industrial customers to improve the way they process, treat and manage water.

Phil Collins, Commercial Director – Europe, for Hydro International shared this enthusiasm about joining the LCRIG community: “We are really pleased to join LCRIG and look forward to engaging with councils and the wider membership and sharing our experience in providing solutions to the challenge of flooding and pollution from highway runoff.

“Our goal is to assist local councils in managing their projects using our connected cars and constantly up to date information on the road network. We aim to work with local councils and other organizations to optimize their budgets and enhance safety by utilizing our fleet of over 100.000 connected cars, thereby also reducing the need to place individuals in potentially hazardous environments.”

Since 1988, HW Martin (Traffic Management) Ltd has delivered high-speed temporary traffic management, covering 4,300 miles of Britain’s Strategic Road Network with a team of 600 professionals and over 500 specialist vehicles. Certified to the National Highways Sector Scheme (NHSS) 12 we prioritise safety in high-risk environments.

David Shaw, Director at HW Martin expressed his aspirations for joining LCRIG: “We’re pleased to announce that HW Martin (Traffic Management) Ltd is now a member of the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG). We have been providing high-speed temporary traffic management services since 1988. Joining LCRIG allows us to engage more closely with local authorities, the Department for Transport and the wider highways community. We look forward to exploring new business opportunities, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation to further enhance customer service and road user safety.”

As a growing community of over 300 members consisting of government, local authorities, national organisations, supply chain, academia and associations, LCRIG is actively facilitating positive change and innovation in the highways sector.

By joining LCRIG you will connect with a community of like-minded councils, organisations and individuals, all of whom are driving change through innovation and technological advances across the local roads network.

Fully-funded places are available for public sector members, and discounted rates are available for private sector members at LCRIG events.

LCRIG membership is structured under four distinct member types. Each type providing tailored member benefits, ensuring all member organisations enjoy access to a diverse and valuable range of services.

        Organisations providing products or services to the highways sector.

       Government and professional bodies, associations, working/research groups.

         Universities and academic research organisations.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), accredited to ISO44001, the international standard for collaboration, LCRIG’s purpose is to ‘give back to the highways community’ and we are not for profit.
