LCRIG’s research and insights team are currently creating an Innovation Report that will grow to become an annual piece of research which will help support innovation, enhance collaboration, and nurture improved net zero attainment across the sector. The report will be complementary to the findings of the recent Innovation and Learning Festival, and aims to continue the innovative and collaborative discussions held during the various sessions. The report will also include a detailed survey of the current innovation landscape across the sector, as well as looking ahead to emerging technology trends and assessing how these are likely to impact operations and processes going forward.
To obtain your inputs, we have created two surveys – one for local authorities, and another for suppliers to complete – both of which explore attitudes towards innovation within your respective organisations. The surveys will gauge your opinions on multiple aspects of innovation, such as funding, creativity in the workplace, and barriers to innovation, as well as your predictions on emerging technologies.
The surveys are short, with around 25 questions, but will generate extensive information that LCRIG can then process in order to derive considered findings and insights, focused on facilitating innovation across the sector. To ensure sufficient data is collected from a comprehensive range of sources, the surveys have been emailed to LCRIG’s extensive contact database, and links have also been included below.
We need your views!
Your survey responses will allow us to obtain vital information which will, in turn, enable LCRIG to understand how we can further help facilitate innovation adoption across the sector. They will also help to highlight the differences in innovation approaches between local authorities and supply chains and identify areas where suppliers can support local authorities in their innovation adoption. While responses to these surveys will be anonymised, contributing councils and suppliers can opt to have their logos included within the Innovation Report.
