This week, we are delighted to welcome two new members to our ever-growing LCRIG Community, with the addition of Smartraft and AECOM.
Our new members have expressed their excitement about joining the LCRIG community.

Smartraft® offer an off-site pre-fabricated, modular concrete foundation to allow for a safe, quick, efficient barrier installation.
Kevin Davies, Business Development Director at Smartraft®, shared his aims: “Smartraft® are delighted to join the LCRIG community. LCRIG have a demonstrable track record with collaboration and supporting/ creating relationships within the Highways Sector. Here at Smartraft® we recognise the support that can be offered and look forward to sharing further information on the Smartraft® modular highways foundation and our latest innovation Hydroraft®, which will help improve the drainage on our highways.”
AECOM is a worldwide infrastructure consulting firm, partnering with clients to solve the world’s most complex challenges and build legacies for generations to come.
Kathryn Vowles – Head of Business – Surface Transportation, Aviation, and Ports shared her enthusiasm: “AECOM is excited to join LCRIG and share your collaboration and innovation culture, especially on the collective journey to decarbonisation.
“We will share our learnings including our research laboratory in Nottingham and other research projects but equally we want to learn from others to improve the value we deliver to communities.”
LCRIG Membership
As a growing community of over 300 members consisting of government, local authorities, national organisations, supply chain, academia and associations, LCRIG is actively facilitating positive change and innovation in the highways sector.
By joining LCRIG you will connect with a community of like-minded councils, organisations and individuals, all of whom are driving change through innovation and technological advances across the local roads network.
Fully-funded places are available for public sector members, and discounted rates are available for private sector members at LCRIG events.
