LCRIG increases public sector places at the Innovation & Learning Festival due to a record number of registrations!

With just over 6 weeks until this year’s Innovation and Learning Festival, there has been an unprecedented response from local authorities registering to attend. Public sector registrations are already up by 25% against last year’s record attendance.

150 senior decision makers and representatives from over 50 local authorities across England, Scotland and Wales have registered. We are pleased to announce that we have increased the number of fully funded places and are inviting all councils to apply to attend for the remaining places.

Taking place at NAEC Stoneleigh, Leciestershire from 2-3 July, this year’s festival is set to be our biggest and best yet, with the introduction of a host of new features and exciting collaborations. Attendees at the event will have access to:

  • Technical training sessions that are being CPD accredited by IHE and held in the all new Technical Learning Theatre.
  • Take part in facilitated workshop sessions and panel debates in the newly created Innovation Think Pavilion.
  • View live demonstrations of highways maintenance and transport technology products, solutions, new innovations and techniques.
  • Meet National Highways Innovation Team, as they showcase some of the winning entries from their Innovator Accelerator programme.
  • See the world’s first autonomous pothole repair system in action.
  • Visit indoor and outdoor exhibition stands which will also feature a dedicated DfT Zone.
  • Relaxed evening networking to facilitate knowledge exchange within the sector. There will be live entertainment from acclaimed Queen tribute band, Supersonic Queen.

Fully funded places for public sector delegates are made possible through the revenue generated from sponsorship and exhibitor sales and include accommodation, transport to and from the hotel to the venue, catering and refreshments.

LCRIG’s Events Manager, Charlotte Bromley said: “The level of interest from our local authority members has been incredible, with some local authorities registering up to 15 attendees and committing to send additional delegates over and above their allocated fully funded places. This clearly demonstrates the value and importance that local authorities place on this event.”

An overwhelming satisfaction rate of 97% of the Local Authority and Supply chain attendees said they would recommend the Festival to their colleagues and 98% expressing their intention to return.

The LCRIG Innovation & Learning Festival is a must-attend event for anyone passionate about shaping the highways of tomorrow!
