We are delighted to announce that applications for the Start-Up Zone at the LCRIG Innovation and Learning Festival 2026 are now officially open. This initiative offers fully funded places for eligible small and emerging businesses, providing a unique platform to showcase innovative solutions and breakthrough technologies.
Why Apply?
The Start-Up Zone offers an exceptional opportunity for qualifying small businesses to gain visibility and make valuable connections. Successful applicants will receive access to:
Exhibition space: A dedicated area in the Start-Up Zone, including space for up to two roll-up banners, a trestle table, chairs, and a delegate pass for both days.
Promotional Support: Inclusion in official event literature and promotional activities to enhance visibility.
Community Access: Exclusive access to the event’s attendee list.
Networking Opportunities: Connect with senior decision-makers, representatives from local authorities, the Department for Transport (DfT), and National Highways at both the festival and the DfT Special Recognition Apprentice Awards and evening networking event.
CPD Technical Training Session Opportunity: Eligible start-ups may apply to host a 15-minute CPD Technical Training session to showcase their expertise and position their business as an industry thought leader. Please note: this opportunity is limited and not guaranteed.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for a place in the Start-Up Zone, applicants must:
- Employ fewer than 5 employees.
- Have been trading for 5 years or less.
- Have an annual turnover of less than £1.5 million.

Submit your application by Friday, 27 February 2026 to be considered for this unique opportunity.
