An event entitled ‘Brightening Asphalt Surfaces in Europe’ is being put on by the Institute of Asphalt Technology (IAT).
Brightening of asphalt surfaces is common practice in many parts of Europe and is a specification requirement in parts of Germany, Denmark and Norway.
The benefits of brightening the surface can include, reduced surface temperature, reduced lighting requirements and better night-time visibility. This event will provide an overview of the benefits, performance of the asphalt and methods of brightening the surface as experienced in northern Germany.
The event is taking place on Tuesday 27 April at 12pm.
