Oxford Plastics has highlighted how AA Signs transformed its traffic management operations by replacing 5,000 traditional metal sign frames with lightweight composite alternatives.
By deploying Oxford Plastics’ EnduraFrame 1500s, AA Signs has achieved significant operational improvements, including eliminating the need for a central holding depot, enabling self-service deployment, reducing labour, transport and storage costs, and improving health and safety for operatives.
The success was driven by strong collaboration, including the support of long-standing channel partner Tennants UK Reflective & Highway Equipment, whose relationship with AA Signs helped bring the opportunity to Oxford Plastics and contributed to the development of the EnduraFrame solution.
Rob Trevethick, AA Signs, said:
“These frames have been a game changer for us and drove a complete shift in how we operate. We’ve made significant savings in labour, transport and storage costs. Internally, we’ve also seen real health and safety benefits.”
It’s another example of how looking beyond upfront purchase price and focusing on total cost of ownership can unlock significant operational efficiencies through collaboration and innovation.
