The Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) North West Branch has announced that entries are now open for the prestigious IHE North West Branch Awards 2025. The event celebrates excellence and outstanding achievements in highways, public realm, active travel, traffic, and transport sectors across the region.
Taking place on Friday, 11th July 2025, at The Halston in Carlisle (CA1 1AB), this black-tie gala will bring together professionals from across the sector in a vibrant James Bond-themed evening entitled “Diamonds Are Forever / Casino Royale”. It promises a fantastic night of celebration, networking, and entertainment while raising funds for the British Red Cross.

Entries are invited for the following categories:
- Large Project of the Year (over £3 million)
- Small Project of the Year (under £3 million)
- Environmental Sustainability Project of the Year
- Safety and Innovation Project of the Year
- Active Travel, Sustainable Transport Project of the Year
- Highway Partnership Award
- Team of the Year
- Early Careers Award
Entries are open to projects from across the UK.
