With an engaging blend of insightful sessions, impactful networking, and thought-provoking debates, this year’s Strictly Highways event broke new records and set the bar once again. Here’s an overview of the 2024 event, capturing its success in numbers:
Event Highlights
Attendees: More than 469 participants joined us over two packed days, including over 195 public sector delegates representing 70 local authorities across England, Scotland, and Wales. On average, each local authority brought 2-3 representatives to the event.
Exhibitors: The event featured 52 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services from across the highways maintenance and transport technology sector.
Sessions and speakers: Throughout the two-day event, 26 sessions featured 36 speakers sharing their knowledge and insights.
Additional Insights
Awards: During a glittering awards ceremony, 7 DfT Special Recognition Awards were presented, celebrating exceptional contributions to the sector plus two special contribution awards for services to the sector. This year’s awards attracted a record-breaking number of entries, with submissions from over one hundred organisations and collaborations across the sector.
Accommodation: A total of 277 hotel rooms were reserved for our delegates.
Attendee Feedback
Recommendation rate: 100% of attendees who responded to our survey said they would recommend Strictly Highways to colleagues.
Satisfaction: 95% of attendees who responded to our survey rated their experience 4 out of 5 or higher.
Exhibitor Feedback
Sales Impact: 80% of exhibitors who responded to our survey reported securing orders with new and or existing customers as a direct result of the event, with estimated order values ranging from £30,000 to an impressive £10 million! The remaining 20% noted it was too early to say.
Overall Satisfaction: 87% of exhibitors who responded to our survey rated their experience 4 out of 5 or higher.
Networking Opportunities: 82% of exhibitors who responded to our survey rated the networking opportunities 4 out of 5 or higher.
