More than 180 local authority highway engineers from across the UK are set to join the Asphalt Industry Alliance’s free, webinar-style conference, which will be an Innovation Special, looking at materials and technologies that can ensure local roads are fit for a low carbon future.
Agenda items include:
- Session topics from technical specialists on binder innovation, low carbon materials, innovation in laying and legislation and EPDs.
- Local authority case studies from Simon Shearwoood (Norfolk County Council), Paul Binks (Lancashire County Council) and Neil Leake (Aggregate Industries)
- Panel discussion, chaired by David Giles, AIA.

The annual Sharing Best Practice event continues to be an important part of the AIA’s activity and provides an opportunity for local authority highway engineers to ask questions and share their knowledge and learnings on the maintenance and future of our local road network.
