We are thrilled to release our highly anticipated Innovation Think Pavilion agenda for next month’s Innovation and Learning Festival. The agenda features key industry figures from both public and private sectors and offers an exciting blend of interactive sessions, facilitated workshops, and panel debates. Our newly created intimate discussion space is designed to encourage ‘thought’ conversations, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to engage. All attendees will also be credited in LCRIG’s Innovation Report, which will be published later this year.
About the Innovation Think Pavilion
Situated in our outdoor area, the Innovation Think Pavilion will host a series of innovation sessions and expertly facilitated workshops where delegates can immerse themselves in an interactive environment designed to spark ideas and enable them to discover cutting-edge solutions.
The sessions are designed to enhance your learning by:
- Showcasing how other Local Authorities approach innovation.
- Exploring practical and incremental innovations being undertaken by Local Authorities.
- Hearing from innovators that are pushing the boundaries in the sector.
Our agenda covers a wide range of themes, providing an opportunity to learn, share ideas and gain valuable insights.
Topics include:
Innovation Procurement: Councils are invited to share ideas and frustrations, and discover ways to procure innovation in highways services during this interactive session, hosted by Jason Sprague, Sprague & Co and facilitated by LCRIG’s CEO, Paula Claytonsmith.
Academia Focus: In this Ted style talk, Chris Rogers from Birmingham University will share some of the lessons learnt from the University’s recent Net Zero Projects.
Pothole Hierarchy: Richard Fenwick will discuss the development of a new approach to pothole hierarchy during this informal talk.
Innovation Challenge for the Sector: This closed session, featuring Infrastructure Innovation Board Chair, Ian Large and members of LCRIG’s Innovation Board, will encourage participants to think about what future innovations should be developed and how we can invest and invent for the future.
Getting the Best Out of AI: Find out some of the key things that Local Authorities need to consider to get the best out of AI during this facilitated and interactive session.
All sessions will lead to contributions to the Innovation Report, future Innovation Board Meetings, Articles, or Research briefings.
