The Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) is excited to share a video featuring some of the apprentices from the Highway Maintenance Academy apprenticeship programme.
The video has been kindly supplied by Salford City College Group who have worked in collaboration with Salford City Council and LCRIG to create the Highway Maintenance Academy and to develop a specialist highway apprenticeship programme. The Highway Maintenance apprenticeship programme is designed to address the distinct demands of a Highways Operative working on the local road network.
Through collaboration with Salford City College, Salford City Council and contributions of time or equipment donated from organisations within the sector, LCRIG has also created a dedicated outdoor facility within the academy. This purpose-built area serves as a valuable resource for students, providing the necessary support for their apprenticeship journey and enabling them to fulfil the practical elements of their course.
