Date confirmed for LCRIG South West Group event

The date of the next LCRIG South West Knowledge Exchange Group meeting has been confirmed.

The event will take place on Thursday 07 March 2024 at Westpoint, Exeter and is being sponsored by WJ Group.

The theme has been agreed following feedback from members and will focus on ‘Procuring Innovation’.

Speakers include representatives from Local Authorities, Industry as well as the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) and discussion topics will cover innovative procurement models, products and services.

Jason Sprague will present an update on the LCRIG Innovation Procurement System, a a first-of-its-kind platform for Local Authorities to buy innovative products and services. 

Attendees will also hear from Dominic Bostock at Cornwall Council who will provide an insight into procuring innovation through a teckal.

During the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a panel discussion and as always the event will offer networking opportunities with local authority colleagues and private sector delegates.

About the South West Knowledge Exchange group

The group is chaired by Cormac Solutions Ltd and represents 13 councils from across the South West as well as a number of supply chain organisations.

The group is open to all types of organisations operating within the highways and transportation sector and its purpose is to share knowledge and best practice and to overcome challenges through fostering collaboration.
