Strictly Highways in numbers

Last week’s Strictly Highways brought together the whole highways community, including councils, the Department for Transport (DfT), academia, industry associations, the supply chain and media. The event enabled everyone to learn about new innovation and technology, share experiences, receive updates from the DfT and showcases the industry associations.

The theme for this year’s event was centred around ‘Making the case for local roads’ and delegates were given the opportunity to learn something new, refresh existing knowledge, improve skills, and keep up to date with the latest developments in the highways sector.

The event took place at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool from 05 – 06 October.

Here we recap the event in numbers:

  • More than 70 different local highway authorities attended the event
  • Over 30 speakers across the two days
  • The event featured more than 50 exhibitors
  • Over 370 delegates attended the event over the two days
  • 277 hotel rooms reserved for delegates
  • Event programme featured 4 panel debate sessions
  • 2 updates from the Department for Transport (DfT)
  • Over £900 raised for Strictly Highways supporting good cause; Elliott Simpson.
