View from the top: ISO44001 Update and so much more…

I used to worry about having to provide a weekly update because I was concerned I wouldn’t have sufficient content.

These days, my concern is that I have to be selective about which topics to choose as there are so many things going on. This week we have just successfully completed our Stage 1 external Assessment against ISO44001. The assessor was so confident in the LCRIG collaborative management system that he was prepared to bring forward the final two-day assessment to 19th and 20th July at which point LCRIG will hope to become the only organisation of its type to become certified to the international standard – a unique achievement which will be classed as a global first. I also attended a meeting of the South East LCRIG Innovation Group chaired by Steve Isaacs and was mightily impressed with the attendance and the subjects addressed. On a separate note you will have heard me mention a national DPS and we are now close to agreeing the structure and scope with Crown Commercial Services and these principles can be seen here. Finally, Let me encourage you all to look at the £150k innovation fund we launched last week and submit your bids to speed up your own innovations – https://lcrigold-org-uk.stackstaging.com/innovation-technology/think-exceptional-innovation-fund

Yes – this has all happened within the last week and as ever each initiative is focused on supporting all of our members. It may seem like a bold statement, but we could do more, but only with your help. Please get more involved with LCRIG by speaking to one of the team to explore how you can play more of an active role in the future development of LCRIG.
