DfT highway authorities survey: Digitising and publishing TROs

The Department for Transport (DfT) is calling on LCRIG members to complete a survey which will help them understand the technology and tools used to support officers in creating and publishing Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) at highway authorities.

The DfT are working with delivery partner Valtech on the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Data Model Alpha project.

They are exploring options to digitise TROs using a standard data model and considering how this data can then be published. Permanent TROs, Temporary TROs, Special Events Orders and Experimental Orders are all being considered as part of the project. The goal is to help highway authorities transition to digital TROs.

The Department would like to learn more about the software, systems and technology that are currently used to create and publish TROs.

LCRIG members are invited to complete the survey which can be found here: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/SZFLBB/
