Salary: PO7 – 10, £36,922 – £39,880 per annum
37 hours per week, permanent post
Calderdale is delivering an ambitious transport infrastructure programme through the West Yorkshire Plus Transport Fund (WY+TF) which could see over £200m invested into the Borough over the next 10 years.
We are looking for an individual with strong project management skills, significant experience of delivering construction, infrastructure, transport or major regeneration projects; the candidate should also have the ability to mentor the wider project office team on engineering and construction interventions as a skillset. The candidate should be able to work with Directorate sponsors, service managers, consultants and contractors to drive the delivery of complicated projects at pace, often in the public eye and under political/financial pressures.
This exciting role will be required to manage a live, high profile and time critical project as part of a wider investment programme to create jobs, regenerate the Borough and its facilities for people who live, work and visit Calderdale.
We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to work in a PRINCE2 environment adhering to the West Yorkshire Combined Authority governance template; this role will deliver project/s under their own initiative, line manage Assistant Project Managers and manage supporting multi-disciplinary teams to drive delivery through the suit of assurance phases including Case Paper, Outline / Full Business Cases and construction delivery. This will include significant multimillion interventions in one of the following areas:
- Halifax Town Centre
- A629 Halifax to Huddersfield corridor
- Wider Boroughs capital infrastructure projects as directed.
