Information for employees during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Lockdown Period
If you are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as part of your daily activity, please take a moment to remind yourself of the safe wearing and removal of gloves to ensure you minimise the risk of cross-contamination.

Removal of PPE
PPE should be removed in an order that minimises the potential for cross-contamination. Gloves, overalls, then eye protection should be removed (in that order, where worn) and disposed of in an appropriate manner.

The transmission of COVID-19 is thought to occur mainly through respiratory droplets generated by coughing and sneezing, and through contact with
contaminated surfaces. The predominant modes of transmission are assumed to be droplet and contact. Ref: Public Health England.

- Line Managers to review activity-based risk assessments to reflect any changes required to control risk levels
- Disposable gloves should be disposed of appropriately after each use.
