AWARD SUBMISSION FORM

Outstanding Contribution Award 2026 – Private Sector

This award celebrates an exceptional individual working in the private sector who has made a lasting and meaningful impact on the highways sector. It celebrates those who have consistently gone above and beyond their role to improve outcomes, strengthen collaboration, drive innovation and/or make a significant contribution to the wider highways sector.

We are looking for individuals whose work has created a tangible and enduring difference, whether through improving service delivery, driving innovation, supporting communities, or enhancing the way the sector works together. This award is open to people at any level within a private sector organisation, recognising that real impact is delivered across all roles, not just senior leadership.

How is the award selected?

  • Open nominations with evidence from anyone in the sector (individual or organisation) using the nomination form.
  • Suggestions with evidence from the LCRIG Team.

What evidence might help to suggest an individual?

  • Improving service delivery, operational performance, or customer outcomes within their organisation or across the sector.
  • Driving innovation, best practice, or new approaches that have delivered measurable benefits.
  • Going above and beyond to enable meaningful collaboration between private sector partners and public sector organisations.
  • Building and sustaining strong working relationships with local authorities, elected members, and other public sector stakeholders.
  • Delivering social value and making a lasting positive impact on local communities.
  • Actively promoting inclusivity, accessibility, and better engagement across the highways sector.
  • Contributing to initiatives that strengthen the long-term resilience, efficiency, or sustainability of the highways sector.

Tips:

The judges are seeking clear examples of individuals who have demonstrated:

  • A positive, measurable, and lasting impact on their organisation, partners, and/or the wider highways sector.
  • A strong commitment to improving highways services and outcomes for communities and users.
  • Collaboration that has meaningfully improved how the public and private sectors work together.
  • Initiative, leadership, or influence that has driven sustained improvement or change.
  • Other evidence that clearly demonstrates the long-term value of their contribution to the sector.
