Galvmac delivers permanent pothole repairs guaranteed for 24 months, helping local authorities cut repeat visits and whole-life costs. Using innovative recycling technology, Galvmac converts end-of-life waste tyres into a highly adaptable industrial strength adhesive that has many applications in road maintenance:

Its technologies for asphalt and concrete are designed to improve durability, extend asset life and support decarbonisation objectives. The company works with local authorities, contractors and material producers to deliver practical, scalable solutions that can reduce whole life maintenance costs and improve infrastructure resilience across the UK.

Shetland Islands Council manages and maintains the Shetland road network including design, traffic and network facilities. With 17 office-based staff and 55 front line staff, and its own quarry and asphalt production plant, the council carries out all annual resurfacing and surface dressing programmes in-house.
