We are delighted to announce the appointment of Rupert Spencer, Capital Programme Manager at Cornwall Highways, to the LCRIG Advisory Board.
As part of the Southwest LCRIG Working Group’s rotating Chair arrangement, Rupert has taken on the role from January 2026, working alongside LCRIG’s Relationship Manager, Keely Metcalfe. In line with this transition, he will also join the LCRIG Advisory Board as the Southwest regional representative, succeeding current Board member, Andy James.
Commenting on his appointment, Rupert said:
“Having been an advocate of LCRIG since attending the first Innovation Festival in 2022, I have seen how the group has created a collaborative approach by bringing together local authorities and industry to drive innovation, value for money and decarbonisation. LCRIG has inspired a real sense of community through these shared objectives. I am therefore pleased to have been given the opportunity to Chair the Southwest Working Group and to represent the region on the Advisory Board. I look forward to collaborating further with colleagues across the wider working groups and to contributing to LCRIG’s continued success.”
Kerry Winstanley, Managing Director at LCRIG, added:
“We’re delighted to welcome Rupert to the Advisory Board. His experience and commitment to collaboration and innovation will be a valuable addition to the team.
“We would also like to thank Andy for his significant contribution during his time on the Advisory Board. We look forward to continuing to work with him as part of the wider LCRIG community.”
We look forward to working with Rupert in his new role and to the continued progress of the Southwest Working Group under his leadership.
