We have been asked by the Department for Transport to notify LCRIG members that a targeted Stakeholder Survey has been launched in relation to the new Structures Fund.
The new Fund will inject cash into repairing run down bridges, decaying flyovers and worn-out tunnels across the country.
The DfT is seeking views from local authority and transport sector stakeholders on how best to design and deliver the Fund, to benefit from their knowledge and expertise in deciding how to invest in and improve the condition of local highway structures.
To ensure responses are representative, the DfT requests that only one response to the survey is provided per local authority or transport sector organisation. If more than one response is submitted, your organisation’s first response will be used. Input on as many questions as possible will be much appreciated.
Responses should be submitted using the smart survey link, to allow responses to be considered efficiently.
The closing date to respond to the survey is: 27 February 2026. Responses in advance of this date are particularly welcome.
Following closure of the survey, responses will be analysed and the DfT will then publish the Fund’s investment criteria and detail on how local authorities can get involved as soon as possible early this year.
