Cappagh’s goal was to find a safer, higher-quality, and more sustainable reinstatement method – one that could withstand the demands of London’s Road network.
Following two years of rigorous testing with a wide range of innovative materials, they have adopted Permafyx L273. It’s cold-lay, flowable nature checked every box for them, offering quality, durability, efficiency, and a reduced carbon footprint.

Training and Installation Process
Cappagh’s teams needed to be experts in laying the material correctly and consistently. Meon provided support, delivering intensive two-day training sessions, where operatives gained hands-on experience in live reinstatement scenarios. They also developed a bespoke audit process to ensure every installation adheres to the highest standards.
Storage and Logistics
One of Permafyx L273’s biggest advantages is its ability to be stored and managed without generating on-site waste – something traditional tarmac methods struggle with. To make the most of this, they have established a purpose-built warehousing and distribution setup across their depots, with the permanent system now being finalised.
Team Engagement and Buy-In
Cappagh worked closely with their operatives from the start, ensuring they were involved in the process. Meon ran several on-site demonstrations to showcase the benefits.
