Decarbonisation of road surfacing as part of whole carbon lifecycle planning is now the number one priority for local and national roads authorities and the supply chain. Most if not all local roads authorities have declared a climate emergency and need to act fast to demonstrate they are implementing carbon reduction and sustainability plans for their highway asset management operations.
