Over the past year, LCRIG has expanded its reach, strengthened partnerships, and delivered even greater value to our members. From hosting record-breaking events to launching initiatives that drive forward-thinking solutions, the report showcases the many ways we have supported the sector to tackle challenges and embrace opportunities.

Key highlights include:

  • Growing Community: Surpassing 350 members, including government, councils, national organisations, supply chain, academia and associations, highlighting a shared commitment across the highways and transport technology sector to collaborate and drive innovation.
  • Innovation & Learning Festival: Bringing together over 600 delegates, including more than 300 public sector representatives, to explore cutting-edge technologies and collaborative solutions.
  • Strictly Highways: A flagship conference, networking event and awards ceremony bringing together over 450 delegates, including more than 190 public sector representatives. The event focuses on leadership, decarbonisation, and future skills, with exceptional networking opportunities and industry insights. In 2024, the awards attracted a record-breaking number of entries, with submissions from over one hundred organisations and collaborations across the sector.
  • Showcasing innovation: Highlighting Initiatives that connect public and private sector organisations to deliver impactful and future-focused solutions.
  • Collaboration value: Delivering over £320,000 in fully funded places for local authorities at events, ensuring accessibility, inclusivity, and sector-wide engagement.
