DfT Special Recognition Outstanding Achievement Award 2025
Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4-6 Apprenticeship Awards
These awards celebrate excellence among Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4-6 apprentices in the highways and transport technology sector.
The awards honour apprentices who have demonstrated exceptional skills, dedication and growth in their apprenticeship. Contributing positively to their workplace and wider community.
Criteria:
Excellence in Role Performance: Consistently demonstrates high standards of work and excels in their specific role. Showing attention to detail, reliability and a strong commitment to completing tasks to the best of their ability, acting as a role model to others by sharing experiences, knowledge or support.
Personal Achievements: Shows significant progress in acquiring and learning new skills. Actively engages in training and development opportunities provided through their apprenticeship, achieving personal goals and ambitions.
Positive Impact: Actively supports the organisation’s goals by contributing to team objectives, demonstrating initiative by taking pro-active steps to solve problems, improve processes or develop innovations. Applying learned skills to make meaningful contributions to projects and the organisations.
Demonstrates influence beyond their immediate role, promoting the benefits of apprenticeships both within, and outside their organisation.
Overcoming Challenges: The nominee may have overcome significant challenges during their apprenticeship, demonstrating resilience, determination, and the ability to learn from setbacks to achieve success in their role.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO: 5pm, Wednesday, 9th April 2025.
You can save and resume your entry as many times as needed until you’re ready to submit. Once submitted, you won’t be able to make further edits.
This competition is open to all apprentices. Please note that if shortlisted, you will be required to be at the awards presentation which will take place on the afternoon of 2nd July, ahead of the evening networking event. This relaxed and informal celebration will shine a spotlight on the incredible talent and growth driving the future of our sector. Public sector and private sector individual delegate places and tables at the awards evening are available, with fully funded places for apprentices. Book here.
