This week, we are thrilled to celebrate a significant milestone in LCRIG’s journey. We warmly welcome Newcastle City Council and Wiltshire Council to our ever-growing LCRIG community.
With their addition, 90% of all local highway authorities in England are now LCRIG members, gaining fully funded access to an exclusive range of benefits designed to support and enhance their crucial work.
This remarkable achievement highlights LCRIG’s expanding reach and growing impact within the highways sector.
David McCourt, Highways Asset Manager at Newcastle City Council expressed his enthusiasm: “Newcastle City Council are delighted to be joining LCRIG and are looking forward to collaborating with the other authorities and the wider highways community to explore innovative ways to meet the ever-increasing challenges being met by us all.”
Matthew Brock, Senior Highways Asset Engineer at Wiltshire Council shared his aspirations: “Wiltshire Council is a unitary authority responsible for over 4500km of highway in a predominantly rural county. Wiltshire are committed to exploring innovations to help improve the efficiency of our services and to work towards the goal of decarbonising our operations. LCRIG membership is a great opportunity to engage in knowledge sharing throughout the industry, develop skills of our staff and explore procurement and implementation of innovative products and services.”
