Aisin RoadTrace has unveiled a groundbreaking road safety and asset management prioritisation capability at the ITS World Congress in Dubai, revolutionising how roads are managed globally. This approach, tested and pioneered in the UK with the support of local and county authority members of LCRIG, leverages advanced data insights from connected vehicles to offer highway authorities a powerful tool to identify and mitigate collision risks before they occur.
The technical white paper, explains how their predictive analysis can improve the efficiency of anticipating collisions by a factor of three. By harnessing this data, highways professionals can make better, more informed decisions, heralding what Aisin calls “Road Management 4.0.”
This follows on from the teaser delivered at LCRIG Innovation and Learning Festival in July where Aisin RoadTrace and Transport Scotland took to the stage and showcased their work together.

The launch of Aisin RoadTrace’s new Vision Zero tool, designed to proactively reduce road fatalities and serious injuries, as well as help highways asset managers and directors with prioritisation, is poised to redefine road management practices and save lives across the UK and beyond.
