This week, we are delighted to welcome five new members to our ever-growing LCRIG Community, with the addition of North Essex Parking Partnership, Innovation Procurement Empowerment Centre (IPEC), Solareye, PelicanCorp, and South Cave Tractors Ltd. With the addition of our newest members, our Associate membership has increased to 166, contributing to 341 members overall.
Our new members have expressed their excitement about joining the LCRIG community.
Richard Walker, Head of Parking, North Essex Parking Partnership, shared his aims: “We look forward to working with like-minded authorities innovating across highways, and particularly the parking sector.”
Rikesh Shah, Head of Innovation Procurement Empowerment Centre (IPEC), expressed his enthusiasm: “I am delighted that IPEC has partnered with LCRIG. With over 300 members from both public and industry sectors, LCRIG’s relentless pursuit of innovation and collaboration aligns perfectly with IPEC’s goals. Will Clarke, Director, Solareye highlighted his goals: “We are excited to be joining the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) in order to collaborate with industry leaders and contribute to the advancement of road infrastructure technology. Through our membership, we hope to gain valuable insights, form strategic partnerships, and drive innovation in sustainable road management solutions.”
Jan-Willem Nijman, General Manager PelicanCorp EMEA, shared his aspirations: “Joining LCRIG as a member represents a pivotal opportunity for PelicanCorp to collaborate with industry leaders and contribute to the continuous improvement of local roads. By leveraging LCRIG’s unique platform, we aim to showcase our Geolantis.360 solution, foster innovation, and support initiatives that drive positive change and decarbonisation in the highways sector. Our membership will allow us to connect seamlessly with local authorities, central government, and the broader highways community, ensuring our advancements align with this essential industry’s evolving needs.”
Andy Cooper, Marketing Manager, South Cave Tractors , highlighted his objectives: “As new members to this innovation group, it is our hope that we can perhaps open people’s eyes and minds to the benefits of a fully proven, fuel efficient and versatile tool carrying system that can work year-round in a variety of highway roles from road repairs to verge and winter maintenance, lighting and street furniture, tunnel washing, tree trimming, drain jetting, suction sweeping and much more.”

As our community continues to grow and the number of councils and supply chain organisations joining increases, we remain dedicated to enhancing the value we provide to our members. To support this, we are expanding our sector insights capability, delivering even more valuable information and resources. The development of our sector insights capability aims to positively influence policy and practice research for our LCRIG community and the wider sector, reinforcing our commitment to connect the sector through innovation and collaboration.

LCRIG Membership
As a growing community of over 300 members consisting of government, local authorities, national organisations, supply chain, academia and associations, LCRIG is actively facilitating positive change and innovation in the highways sector.
By joining LCRIG you will connect with a community of like-minded councils, organisations and individuals, all of whom are driving change through innovation and technological advances across the local roads network.
Fully-funded places are available for public sector members, and discounted rates are available for private sector members at LCRIG events.
