Strictly Highways Conference Partner announced

The Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) is delighted to announce A E Yates as our Main Conference Partner for this year’s Strictly Highways event, which returns to the iconic Winter Gardens, Blackpool from 01-03 October 2024.

Bookings opened exclusively to members earlier this month and there has been an unprecedented level of interest and demand for sponsorship packages, exhibitor spaces and delegate places.

About our Conference Partner

Established in 1870, A E Yates Limited is a progressive civil engineering contractor with an enviable track record of successfully delivering technically demanding high quality works to the complete satisfaction of a wide variety of public and private customers.

Helen Atkinson, Director of People at A E Yates said: “A E Yates Civil Engineering are delighted to be the main conference partner at LCRIG’s Strictly Highways 2024! We hope to discuss with partners, old and new, how we can collaboratively meet the demands of our ageing road network and drive positive change in the highways sector. As a company, we are focused on developing new innovations to help make a lasting impact to the communities and environment on all our projects as we work towards achieving Net Zero by 2030.”

Keely Metcalfe, Relationship Manager at LCRIG said: “We are really excited to have A E Yates as our Conference Partner for this year’s Strictly Highways.

“A E Yates is driving innovation and improvements across the highways sector, and we are delighted to have their support.”

About Strictly Highways

Strictly Highways is LCRIG’s flagship annual conference, networking event and awards ceremony. The coveted event brings together the whole highways community, including councils, the Department for Transport (DfT), academia, industry associations, the supply chain and media and celebrates the amazing work that is taking place in our sector.

Delegates attending this year’s event will have the opportunity to learn about new innovations and technology, share experiences, receive updates from the DfT and network across the two days in the glittering setting of the Ballroom at the Winter Gardens.

Our conference programme over the two days is CPD certified and features a range of interactive panel debates and presentations focused around our 4 pillars – collaboration, innovation, net zero and skills and includes a variety of speakers from across public and private sector.

We are also proud to be hosting the prestigious Special Recognition Awards once again on behalf of Department for Transport (DfT). Established by the late Steve Berry OBE, the Department for Transport’s former head of highways maintenance, innovation and resilience, these awards recognise companies and individuals who have gone the extra mile to deliver change in the sector.

Fully Funded Public Sector Places

It is important to us to ensure our events are accessible to the whole highways community. We do this by offering fully funded places for public sector delegates. Fully funded places include accommodation, transport to and from the hotel to the venue, catering and refreshments. This is funded by revenue generated through sponsorship and exhibitor sales.

And it works. Strictly Highways 2023 saw more than 400 delegates attend over the two days, with representation from more than 70 different highway authorities from across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as the Department for Transport (DfT), academia, industry associations and media.

Book now!

We still have a limited number of exhibitor spaces and delegate places available.

For more information and to book, please visit the Strictly Highways website here.

Stay tuned!

In the coming weeks, we will be announcing more sponsors as well as launching the DfT Special Recognition awards.
