CIRIA launches gully pot survey

The Construction Industry Research and Information Association (CIRIA) is asking gully owners and contractors/operatives to complete a short survey to help inform new guidance. 

 In 1998, CIRIA published “R183 Management of gully pots for improved runoff quality” guidance but now wants to update it to reflect current good practice, within the evolving regulatory context.

 A scoping study has concluded that further information is needed to understand challenges and good practice especially around operational matters – including use of grey versus potable water, waste disposal and recycling approaches.

Two surveys have been developed, one for gully owners and one for contractors or operatives. Each survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. Responses will help CIRIA to define the scope of updated guidance.
