This week, the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) welcomes three new Members.
Herefordshire Council join as a Council Member.

Telensa join as an Associate Member.
Telensa provides smart street lighting solutions helping cities, utilities and local government organisations around the world to reduce their energy consumption and carbon emissions. Telensa supports cities as they strive for greener, more liveable and safer neighbourhoods for all.

Wilson Pym May (WPM) Ltd join as an Associate member.
WPM was founded in June 2006 as a specialist team of Highways Infrastructure Asset Management consultants.

Our in-depth understanding of this field has been gathered through over 30 years of involvement with technical projects during the founders’ careers as Client, Contractor, Service Provider and Maintenance Management Systems suppliers.
“Wilson Pym May pride ourselves on delivering value-adding services to our extensive client base; whether we are engaged in supporting contract tenders, value engineering, asset management, condition analysis, lifecycle modelling or supporting bids for additional funding.
“Now specializing more in bespoke software development, we have brought to market our video data capture smartphone app and spatial video content management system, RouteShoot. This award-winning and ground-breaking software solution has been used in a variety of asset management roles, including as an audit tool for World Bank investments in the Philippines, for utilities tracing in the US, by Shell for aerial pipeline inspections in Africa and for highways safety inspections in the UK, particularly on Scotland’s trunk road network.
“We also helped to develop, and continue to support, the South West Highways Alliance’s Highways Infrastructure Resilience Assessment Modelling tool (HIRAM), and are currently engaged in helping to develop an app and website solution for the Rapid Impact Assessment of damaged highway assets; a system essentially built for triaging road hazards following major incidents (e.g., severe storm events).
Having recently met with the LCRIG team, we are now excited to be joining the LCRIG community, where we hope to get the opportunity to share innovation and best practice with like-minded professionals. We believe LCRIG’s aspirations to help SMEs to engage better with the community certainly offers a good fit for our organisation.”

LCRIG has four membership types:
Local highway authorities and ‘Teckal’ organisations.
Organisations providing products or services to the highways sector.
Government and professional bodies, associations, working/research groups.
Universities and academic research organisations.
As a Community Interest Company (CIC), accredited to ISO44001, the international standard for collaboration, LCRIG’s purpose is to ‘give back to the community’ and we are not for profit.
Fully funded services
Services provided to Local Authorities in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales are fully funded.
