A new system and range of fittings which allow for safe cycling routes and walking paths as well as pedestrianised areas has been launched by DELTABLOC.
The new CITYBLOC, which has been successfully tested in accordance with the strict requirements of EN 1317-2, ensures safety in public, commercial and industrial areas.
A wide range of practical applications are covered by the system. These include:
- This system is particularly suitable for protecting restricted work areas, offering high performance, a narrow footprint and curved sections allowing for maximum flexibility when working within tight constraints.
- The uniquely designed CITYBLOC traffic management barrier has been developed not only as a high performing barrier but also enabling the implementation of traffic signs for easy and safe guidance around the work area.
- The CITYBLOC system and range of fittings allows for safe cycling routes and walking paths as well as pedestrianised areas. They can be safely separated from motorised traffic, thus reducing the risk of accidents for all users.
- With the additional outdoor presence in our towns and cities such as alfresco dining becoming more prevalent and ever more social distancing measures and restrictions being put in place, the system provides the perfect physical protection and deterrent.
Ian Davey, DELTABLOC UK Commercial Manager said: “The CITYBLOC system is as innovative as it is safe and as we face a wider variety of challenges to keep people safe, we have developed a system that has a wider variety of features and applications to meet that challenge.
“From the workers on site, to the cyclist riding past, to the pedestrian who has stopped to sit for lunch – the CITYBLOC boosts safety for all.”
