Vacancy – Norfolk County Council – Programme Engineer

Asset and Capital Programme Management Team – Highways
£36,681 to £40,875 per annum (Scale K)
37 hours per week
Permanent contract

This position is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future output of the Highways Capital Programme.

Reporting to the Asset and Capital Programme Manager the role will support the development of 5-year highway structural maintenance and improvements programme to deliver value for money and achieve national, Local Transport Plan and local targets.

The proposals you help form will support internal and external funding opportunities, to ensure that Norfolk maintains it successful record in securing funding from the Department for Transport and other sources.

The role will help support the implementation of the Highway Capital Programme within the allocated budgets. This consists of hundreds of projects per annum, ranging from small maintenance schemes to major projects

You will be able to demonstrate experience in the development of highway proposals, project and financial management.

As a team player, you will have, interpersonal skills and enjoy developing and delivering solutions.
